Touching a song from KanYe's 808's and Heartbreaks can be a tricky line to cross considering it was such a definitive soundscape from an artist. When it dropped, there was nothing to reference it to from artists at the time. Inevitably, people either instantly gravitated to it or recoiled from it. It was an electronic, stark, minimalist departure from KanYe's usual progressive, evolved chipmunk soul sound. Chuk Le Garcon departs from (his) usual production style to revisit one of the stronger lead singles from that album with an airy, bouncy remix that's perfectly comfortable sliding into DJ sets at BBQ's, brunch parties and dance jams all at once. Take a listen.
