Willie Evans Jr.'s album "Introducin'" drops June 21st via High Water Music.
But on May 25th, Willie Evans Jr. and High Water Music will drop a free project entitled "Billy Lotion", a project that came about during the A3C Festival in Atlanta. Label head Sucio Smash challenged Willie Evans Jr. to flip and remix the latest "Good Things" album from Stones Throw artist, Aloe Blacc, which provided the foundation for what has become a full remix album to Aloe Blacc's "Good Things" in pure Willie Evans Jr. fashion.
"ForcedGrin (SqueezeZombies)" is the first leak from the "Billy Lotion" project and today you can enjoy the instrumental with a special bonus vocal version that Willie wrote in response to the unfortunate cancellation of the historic Squeeze radio show, which was the radio home to Stretch & Bobbito and Sucio Smash.
It's kinda easy to regurgitate some memories and put a purpose on a staff so we call 'em enemies/
Though we all got memories so it seems foldin' up is fuckin' with our dreams in a early state squeeze/
The radio a raw vitamin to take put it on your tonsil a strange taste like some yerba mate/
Most cats listenin' are big kids with kids that never heard nothin' like this a hard switch/
Ironic where the blame lies no squeeze radio its over/
delete half of the cats in your folder/
They'll wise up when their listener-ship dries up these blind fucks creatin' a future where the rhyme sucks/
Sucio Smash your times never up/
The music is part of us and not a program director/
Salute to the show that had the earth's illest selectors and here's a middle finger to the suits and ties with lectures....
